Season 10 Voice runner-up Adam Wakefield takes the blame in new music video, but what he did? He’s happy to leave that up to fan interpretation.
Wakefield’s new single “Blame It Me,” released in March has made incredible strides, and now, fans can visualize what the country singer is talking about. Right? Well, it’s all up to the imagination. The Voice alum never actually tells the audience what he’s to blame for, but we know it’s his fault.
While the video is simple, it’s got a complicated storyline. That’s the beauty of who Wakefield is an artist. He’s incredibly raw, real and honest, even when it appears to be so simple. This video is no different as it showcases the side of the country crooner that we all know and love. “This was actually a fun video to shoot. So much of it felt natural because of the people in the video with me,” he tells us. “Those guys played on the record and tour with me so it was very laid back and easy.”
You can watch the video for “Blame It On Me,” and read more about the song from an exclusive interview we had with Adam during CRS in Nashville this past February.
