Our favorite time of the year is summer when we can listen to new music with a warm breeze and a cold drink in our hand. Now more than ever, we cannot wait to get back into finding that perfect song that will be played on loop for the foreseeable future.
Concerts are coming back once again, which means our favorite artists are as well with some tracks that just match our plans for the next two sunny and stress-free months.
Here are eight songs you need to listen to to get in the right feels this summer.
Frankenstein- Claire Rosinkranz
This calm and upbeat song is perfect for a lazy day at the beach. The song is about building her own “Frankenstein”, and finding it difficult to do so. Easy to relate to, as well as easy to listen to and get it stuck in our heads.
Everything’s Good- Phil Good
We can’t stop listening to this happy, summer song. The artist sings about the issues in his life and within himself but at the end of the day tells himself “everything’s good”, which at the end of the day is something we cannot agree with more.
Off My Mind- joe p
Most of us can relate to not being able to get someone out of our heads, and this song is about finally getting the thought of them gone once meeting someone new. That kind of hopefulness is what we all long for and this heartbreaking yet optimistic song is one that we’ll be adding to all of our playlists for the long drives ahead.
love race- Machine Gun Kelly ft. Kellin Quinn
Our punk rock hearts are obsessed with this insanely fun and energetic song. The voices of these two unique singers blending together is euphoric and makes for a crazy summer song to scream at the top of our lungs.
A-O-K- Tai Verdes
To keep it simple, this song makes us realize it’s all gonna be okay. After being locked inside for a year, Verdes definitely didn’t lie with this one, making it a perfect summertime anthem.
t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l- WILLOW ft. Travis Barker
Travis Barker has been all over the music industry lately, making appearances with MGK, JXDN, and now WILLOW. This rock inspired song is a change of sound for WILLOW and we can’t wait to hear more like this from her while also jamming out to this song this summer.
Leave Before You Love Me- Jonas Brothers ft. Marshmello
We still can’t get over the fact that the Jonas Brothers are back, and this song gave us a bit of a different sound from them. We know Marshmello is known for his EDM music while the Jonas Brothers are more on a pop rock side, making this the duo we needed for summer with a bit of both in this song.
Distracted Youth- Quinn XCII
This song is one our favorites from Quinn XCII’s newest album, “Change of Scenery II”, and it’s slow and relaxed beat is perfect for those rainy and warm summer days.
With this summer already off to an exciting start, make it even more exciting by giving these summer songs a listen! You can’t go wrong with Machine Gun Kelly and Tai Verdes playing through your headphones while enjoying some much needed R&R.
