5 Songs You Didn’t Know Were Written By Benny Blanco

Benny Blanco has been the ghost behind every song we have known and loved for years, and not many are aware of that. The Virginia-born songwriter began his career at the early age of 15, where he helped to produce the timeless song Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry.

Blanco has since found his way to the top of the charts after writing songs for plenty of other singers, such as Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Maroon 5. He is responsible for a large amount of songs that we all grew up loving that we can’t help but feel nostalgic every time we listen to them. Let’s take a look through some more songs written by Blanco that we are all shook over.

1. Justin Bieber- Love Yourself

This high-tempo love song that we all related to our bad relationships from the past was actually co-written by Benny Blanco and Ed Sheeran, which makes sense since it makes you want to dance but will also make you want to scream into your pillow, something both of these songwriters are professionals at.

2. Kesha- Tik Tok

We all remember secretly listening to this raunchy Kesha song during our preteens, little did we know that Benny Blanco, alongside Dr. Luke were the ones saying “Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack.”, and we all were completely okay with singing those lyrics as loud as we could.

3. Rihanna- Diamonds

This beautifully worded, yet energetic song was one of our absolute favorites growing up. Although Benny Blanco is the mastermind behind it, he also had help from another pop sensation, Sia.

4. Taio Cruz- Dynamite

We cannot forget this classic song that we all danced to with our friends, cousins, neighbors, or even ourr mailmen at some point. This was one of the first hit songs Blanco wrote, alongside Dr. Luke and Taio Cruz himself.

5. Lil Dicky ft. Chris Brown- Freaky Friday

If you weren’t obsessed with this song back in 2018, what were you listening to? Along with Chris Brown and Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat also had some assistance in creating this fun and hilarious song that you can’t help but get up and jump around to.
