Last week, pop-rockers 5 Seconds of Summer shared the video for their new single “Valentine” with their fans, and it didn’t disappoint. The video was co-directed by the band’s drummer Ashton Irwin and the band’s photographer Andy DeLuca. “Valentine” is a dark, dreamy, brooding, and fairly literal representation of the song lyrics. The band has described the song as the “ultimate Valentines Day song”, as it explores the openness and freedom one feels when they fall in love. “Valentine” is taken from the band’s third studio album Youngblood, which was released earlier this year via Capitol Records. The album itself peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart just one week after its release.
5 Seconds of Summer is currently embarking across North American on the Meet You There tour. For more information on the band and their upcoming tour dates, head over to their website.
