2015 was a great year for music. There were so many incredible releases, amazing tours and other insane events that blew us all away in the music world. So, what can be better than 2015, you ask? Well, 2016 is going to blow 2015 out of the water and here are five reasons why!
- You Me At Six Are Back!
It was very late in 2015, but we received a tweet from You Me At Six’s frontman, Josh Franceschi, dropping the hint that the band would be back this year. For those of you that do not know, the band account tweeted “We’ll be back” in the middle of last year, leaving the fans clueless. It seemed that they just dropped off the face of the planet (until they came back together for a charity show for The Ghost Inside). Will it be a new album? Will it be a world tour? Who knows! We sure are excited for whatever it is.
- Panic! At The Disco Drops an AMAZING Album and News of an Incredible Tour!
The moment we all have been waiting for finally has arrived. Panic! At The Disco put out The Death of A Bachelor on January 15th and if you say you are not obsessed, we know you are lying! Along with the album release, Panic! announced a summer tour with Weezer AND Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Now, that’s going to be a tour that you are not going to want to miss. You can check out the dates here.
- New Summer Set?!
Not only did You Me At Six go ghost for a while, The Summer Set left us hanging in 2015. Thankfully, they gifted us with a new single called “Figure Me Out” and a new album, Stories For Monday coming out April 1st. From what we have heard with the single, this album is going to be absolutely amazing! We are so excited! You can listen to “Figure Me Out” here and pre-order Stories For Monday here.
- Four Days of Lollapalooza!
It is Lollapalooza’s 25th anniversary this year! They have already surprised us with an extra day of the festival this year. An extra day means even more fun! The lineup has not been announced yet but we can only guess from the circumstances that it is going to be an awesome one! If you are as eager as we are, you can find out more here!
- Pierce The Veil Finally Drops Their Album!
Every year, Fearless Records posts about all the new albums that they are releasing in that year. What caught everyone’s eye is the first band on the list, Pierce The Veil. They have had quite a busy 2015, with their world tour with Sleeping With Sirens taking up most of the first part of year and playing the Vans Warped Tour in the summer, but it is good to know they are ready to release their fourth studio album following their single “The Divine Zero”! We haven’t had a new Pierce The Veil album since Collide With The Sky in 2012. We sure are excited!
Those are just some of the things that are going to make this year awesome! Let us know what you are excited about this year in the comments below.
