Every year, Outside Lands Music Festival takes over Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California, drawing thousands to see some of the biggest artists in music. This year, Outside Lands boasts a stunning lineup, including Kacey Musgraves, Kygo, Blink-182, The Neighborhood and more. Although most festival visitors are ready for the headliner the minute that they walk in the festival gates, sometimes, the best artists are the smallest.
Here are our five must-see artists at Outside Lands Music Festival this year.
- Bea Miller
Although Miller got her start on The X Factor at age 13, she’s quickly broken out of that stereotype. Stunning listeners with her incredible vocals and her powerful emotionally raw lyrics, Miller has recently skyrocketed even farther to the top of her fans’ playlists. Not only has Miller hit the top 40 once this year, but is already on her way again. Check out Miller’s performance for an incredibly energetic, honest and raw performance.
- Leon Bridges
Ready for a little soul music? Head to the Lands End stage on Sunday at 5:40pm. Grammy Award winner and R&B artist, Leon Bridge, has quickly made a name for himself by performing at The White House, opening for Harry Styles and more. Not only has Bridges taken home numerous awards for his sound, production and songwriting, but his on stage performances have been just as incredible.
- Wallows
If you’re looking for a good rock show, look no further than Wallows’ performance on the Lands End stage at 2:20 PM on Saturday. Fresh off their debut album release earlier this year, Wallows has been churning out high-energy performances across the globe. Fronted by “13 Reasons Why” actor Dylan Minnette the band has gained a lot of traction in the last year-and-a-half with their dancy alternative-rock. The energy and passion delivered in their performances are sure to make them a staple in the festival circuit in years to come.
- Dean Lewis
A strong contender for Upcoming Artist of the Year, Dean Lewis has recently come out of nowhere to stun listeners everywhere. On the Sutro stage on Sunday at 2:25, Lewis will perform soul wrenching hits like “Be Alright,” which has gained more than 500 million streams. Lewis’ soulful voice and emotional lyrics are the perfect intro to your Sunday. As Lewis’ vocals soar over his guitar, there’s nothing like relatable lyrics to guide you to your new favorite artists.
- Miya Folick
Looking for some new alt-pop to add to your fall music rotation? Miya Folick is your gal! She’ll be playing on the Panhandle stage at 2:55 PM on Friday, and is definitely someone you don’t want to miss. Folick is arguably one of the great rising artists in 2019. She’s been crushing it on the festival circuit all summer with her guitar-driven alternative-pop tunes. The attitude in her music gives her an edge few artists have, that also shows through in her live performance.
