The Knocks is putting us all in a trance with the release of their dreamy pop-track, “Best for Last.” The song featuring vocals from Walk the Moon’s lead singer, Nick Petricca, comes straight from the duo’s upcoming album, 55.
In 2013, Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson created the music behind the song and introduced it to Petricca.
“We played the instrumental for him in the studio and Nick’s eyes lit up and we saw his brain working right away,“ Ruttner told Billboard. “It was definitely one of those brain explosion, get out of your chair, chills-down-your-arm moments.”
“Best for Last” is one of many collaborations that will appear on 55. Songs featuring Fetty Wap, Cam’ron, Wyclef Jean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Matthew Koma, Magic Man, Alex Newell, POWERS, Phoebe Ryan, Justin Tranter, and X Ambassadors are set to be on the album.
