What we’ve all been waiting for is here, the video to Ariana Grande’s “34+35 remix.”
On Friday, Grande dropped the video to her January released remix, “34+35,” and we have to say that this is the single that keeps on giving. First announced as a song on her 2020 album Positions, Grande immediately sprung into jaw-dropping action after the release of the song’s iconic Fembott music video. Then in January, Grande clutched all of our pearls with the announcement of the song’s remix with Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat. Now when we thought this single couldn’t get any better, Grande shows us once again we’re wrong, by adding another layer to the remix and giving us the song’s music video.
Living it up in a fancy hotel, the three ladies can be seen sipping champaign poolside in their finest lingerie. Ordering room service, recording videos of each other, and roaming through the hotel’s ornate halls, the three women invite us into a night of fun that’s continuously intertwined with desire.
Directed by Stefan Kohli, the song’s saucy visuals are calm and straightforward when considering the lyrics. Despite the frilly lingerie, the music videos images of the woman wandering through the hotel, drinking champagne, and relaxing poolside are all offers of balance. Considering Doja’s lyrics of “Making that squirt and rain and shower and spray, Now that’s perfect, baby, we don’t sleep enough,” and The Stallion’s saying of “I can make you pop, legs up like a Cancan.” The video’s visuals create a fresh balance while adding a new layer to the song.
