As one of summer’s most exciting and sought after music festivals, Watershed has become nothing short of a country music staple. Held at the incomparable Gorge Amphitheater, the Columbia River Gorge is stunning and unmissable as it soars behind the main stage, making for the perfect backdrop to the weekend. While the gorgeous scenery is an attraction of its own, people come to Watershed for one reason, and one reason alone; the music. With some of the biggest names in country set to perform, it’s without a doubt going to be a weekend to remember. Here are our picks for three of Watershed’s must see artists:
Cam
Breaking through with the haunting beautiful “Burning House”, Cam immediately made herself known as a songwriter and vocalist that demanded attention. After releasing her debut album Untamed in 2015, Cam released “Diane”; a song that served as the other side to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”. Her killer pipes and distinct lyrics make her an undeniable powerhouse, and one of this year’s must-see performers.
Kane Brown
First being discovered through his covers of country classics on social media, Kane Brown has always shown that he was meant to be a country star. Opening for acts like Florida Georgia Line and collaborating with artists like Lauren Alaina, Kane Brown has thrown himself head first to the world of country, and they have welcomed him with open arms. With a voice and lyrical style that perfectly fits the genre, Kane Brown is leading the next generation of men in country.
Miranda Lambert
One of the most recognizable voices and personalities in country music, Miranda Lambert is a bonafide country superstar. All five of the Lambert’s albums have been adored by fans and critics alike, and she even has two grammy awards to show for it. With heartbreaking ballads like “Tin Man”, and whiskey-soaked anthems like “Something Bad”, Miranda Lambert is country music personified, and we can’t wait to see her this summer.
