In between “I’m sorry Brad Mondo” and “Girl I’m not going to do it, I was just thinking about it…” videos on our For You Page, we often see emerging artists using Tiktok to reach a wider audience than ever before. Whether it’s through covers or snippets of original songs, there’s no doubt a ton of talent is being housed on Tiktok. Here’s our Top 3 Tiktok artists this week:
Taylor Acorn: Often posting killer covers of emo songs reimagined with a stripped down, acoustic country twang, Taylor Acorns is an incredible artist in her own right. Her song, “Something Tonight” is definitely yeehaw but also has pop vibes and shows off her vocal talent. Her cover of Mayday Parade’s “Jamie All Over” is a must watch, and honestly this pop punk country crossover is the energy we didn’t know we needed in 2021.

Tramp Stamps: Sugar, spice and everything nice. Plus Chemical X…and fishnets. If the Powerpuff Girls grew up and got screwed over by their boyfriends then started a pop punk band, it’d be Tramp Stamps. The band’s newest single, “Sex With Me” is super catchy, and unfortunately pretty relatable. The Nashville-based band often posts raw vocals and funny readings of their lyrics on Instagram.

Kim Dracula: Going viral for his spooky cover of “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga, Kim Dracula also has original songs like “Killdozer” and “The Bard’s Last Note” that have earned him attention in his own right. With a unique style and sound, he quickly gained traction on Tiktok and his cover has become the audio to 2.8 million user videos of hair, body and makeup transformations.
