With the holiday season quickly approaching, music fans have an onslaught of holiday shows around the country to be excited about. The holiday season is almost like the second coming of festival season with so many of the year’s most popular acts coming together for one last time before the new year. One show we’re particularly excited for is ALT 92.3’s Not So Silent Night in New York City. The show will be taking place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday, December 5th.
Not So Silent Night will feature appearances from Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend, Cage The Elephant, Jimmy Eat World, Of Monsters And Men, Judah & The Lion, and Shaed. While it’s sure to be an unforgettable night, we wanted to highlight a few artists that fans shouldn’t miss on show day.
Vampire Weekend
Fresh off a very busy year of touring, indie rock legends Vampire Weekend will be taking the stage and it’s sure to be a set that will get fans dancing. The band made their long awaited return to music this spring with the release of their album Father Of The Bride. So much of Vampire Weekend’s music is heavily rooted in New York City since it’s their hometown, so it’s sure to be a fun holiday homecoming for them and their hometown crowd.
Cage The Elephant
Riding on the success of the release of their album Social Cues, Cage The Elephant’s set is one you will not want to miss. The band’s stage presence is unparalleled – their energy and borderline chaotic movements make their performances incredible captivating and memorable. Lead singer Matt Schultz is known for his crazy on-stage antics—like climbing up stage trusses and throwing himself into the crowd to join in on the party with fans.
Shaed
2019 has been a banner year for Shaed, from the release of their EP Melt to the success of their song “Trampoline (ft. ZAYN)”, their success is sure to continue into the new year. “Trampoline” has earned the band the #18 sport on the Billboard Hot 100 and has also been certified Gold by RIAA in the United States. The pop trio is going to be a great way to kick off this show and get fans warmed up for the epic night they’ll have ahead of them.
